The Golden Temple
The abode of Bliss and Blessings, The Golden Temple is holiest of
the shrines of Sikh religion.. Surrounded by the pool which gave the town its name
"Amritsar", Golden Temple is open to all and is reached by a causeway. The temple
is beautifully reflected in stunning expanse of water, creates an atmosphere which
is particularly powerful.
The Wagha Border
People visit this place in large numbers to witness the lowering
down of the flags of both countries, India & Pakistan. The only post, where a special
parade is organised to lower the flags simultaneously from the flag poles in the
evening, beams with vibrant activity.
Durgiana Temple
Situated outside the Hathi Gate, Durgiana Mandir is largest Hindu
Temple in the city. This temple is devoted to goddess Durga and Radha Krishnna and
it dates back to 16th century. This famous Hindu Shrine was founded by Lala Nathu
Mal Rangwala and Guru Sahai Mal in 1921. There are other temples like Durga Mata
Mandir, Hanuman Mandir, Bairon Mandir inside the Complex.

Jallian Wala Bagh Memorial
On 13th April 1919, General Dyer of the British Army sprayed
Bullets in to innocent civilians killing thousands and injuring hundreds. The masacre
was condenmed worldwide and the indian freedom movement was given an altogether different
dimension thereafter.
